Glimpse from '07

I'm sorry for the serious neglect of my photo blog, but here's a bulk of photos I've shot in '07. I'll try and be a little better with updating in the new year! (update '09....haha, apparently that didn't go so well!!!)

Vacation (text)

Yes I know, I have severely negleted my photoblog lately, but now I'm back with a handful of photos from my latest and much needed vacation (post below). My parents, brother and his girlfriend came to visit from Denmark and we had the greatest time ever. This is just a few of the countless shots I took during the two weeks they were here. Some from Key West, some from Ocean Drive Miami, Some from the Everglades, some from SeaWorld Orlando and a few from Tampa where we stayed the majority of the time.

P.S. Just heard the sad news.....R.I.P. Gerald Levert

Savannah

Here's a few photos I shot on a trip to Savannah GA. Probably one of the most interesting places I've ever been! If you like history, this is the place you want to visit. Besides being Americas largest gathering of historical landmarks (pretty much the entire city), it's also said to be one of the most haunted in the country. There's so many cool and exciting stories from Savannah, I wouldn't even know where to begin! Being a huge Pirate buff, I had to of course pay a visit to "The Pirates' House", a tavern/eating place for seafares build in 1753 that quickly became a meeting place for notorious pirates. It's still working as a eating place today and is one of the oldest houses in Georgia. The city itself is extremely charming and looks like something you'd find in a Disney park, but this is the real deal and most of the city's houses are 150-250 years old. Alot of movies have been shot there, like "Forrest Gump", "Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil", Something To Talk About" etc etc. Will probably post some more photos from my trip later.

Key West Sunset

I cannot take credit for this one. It is all Mother Nature's work, I just took the picture!;)
I promise, I have not manipulated with colors or anything, this is simply how the sun goes down in Key West. It has to be experienced in real life. It's like watching a hollywood film with tons of amazing special efx and computer graphics live. Go there, at least once in your life:)

Road Trip to the Midwest

I believe it was in Illinois I took this one out the window of a moving car. I loved the feel of openness, space and simplicity. The little lonely cloud was just an extra free bonus:)

Ohio State Reformatory 3

Yet another photo from my "Reformatory" collection. The whole place was painted with led paint, which looks really cool when it starts to crack and hang down from the ceilings and walls. What you see on this photo, was pretty much the condition of 95% of the place. I'll see if I can find some of my exterior shots as well, cause the outside is as cool as the inside. It looks like an old European castle.

Ohio State Reformatory #2

Here's another photo from the haunted reformatory. I shot about 150, so this probably wont be the last I'm posting!

Ohio State Reformatory

This one's from Ohio State Reformatory. A very interesting place with a lot of interesting stories and definitely worth visiting. It's said to be haunted and whether you believe that kind of stuff or not, this place is eerie! A lot of Hollywood movies have been shot here, such as "Harry and Walter Go To New York", "Tango and Cash", "The Shawshank Redemption" and "Air Force One", just to name a few.

Silence Before the Storm

Shot this one in Indianapolis. A thick cloud rolled over us in the middle of the day and it became dark in a matter of minutes!

Tampa Sky

One of the things that caught my attention the most when moving down to Florida, was the beautiful cloud formations and sunsets. This one is the view from our kitchen window.

Can you guess where this is from???

My first photo on my new blog:)
Finally last year I had my first real life Disney Magic experience and it actually exceeded my expectations. Can't wait to go back.
